The Media Standards Trust has today relaunched its website. We hope that the new site will make it easier to:
- Learn about our different projects Each of our different initiatives – Journalisted, the Orwell Prize, the transparency initiative, our work on press self-regulation – are explained clearly and concisely in the new Projects section, with links to related sites and further information. The same goes for our Events section, which will make it easier to find out about forthcoming events but also to learn more about (and watch) previous ones. Our publications are also listed and easily accessed from our homepage
- Access our editorial content We blog, we tweet, and we compile weekly newsletters about some of our projects (notably Journalisted and the Orwell Prize) – the new site should make these much more visible. We’ll be blogging more regularly, with a focus on public policy implications of media news and developments, but also on other relevant issues. We’ll be running the occasional guest blogpost (contact us for more information), and we have a new blog focused on the Press Complaints Commission – PCC Watch
- Practice what we preach Our new site is built using WordPress, a freely available blogging platform. We’ve installed the hNews plugin, one of the components of our transparency initiative, which allows for intelligent searches of our content, and links to our own list of blogging principles.
We’re very grateful to Double Sided for the design and build of the site.
