Lionel Barber

Lionel Barber, the editor of the Financial Times, spoke on 15th July 2009, and predicted that most news websites would be charging for content within a year.

The speech was covered extensively by Media Guardian, with one article focusing on Barber’s view that most news website would be charging within a year, another on his view of the phone-hacking revelations at the News of the World, an analysis piece by Emily Bell and an audio interview with Matt Wells.
